Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

This 14′ sculpture of Dr. King stands on an 8′ pedestal at the new Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Justice Building in Newark, New Jersey. It is the largest bronze statue of Dr. King in the world.

King holds the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. His gesture invites the viewer to “Join me; there is still work to be done.”

A 1 1/2 life-size bronze bust portrait of Dr. Martin Luther King created by Jay can be seen in the Dr. Martin Luther King Memorial Hall in the Newark, New Jersey, City Hall.

Jay Warren also created an 8′ bronze portrait figure of Dr. King. This piece, mounted upon a 3′ polished granite pedestal, stands next to the Newark Hall of Records and was unveiled on the 51st anniversary of Dr. King’s 1964 Nobel Peace Prize.
